I can only imagine what it must be like to stand before the Great Pyramid of Giza...with each of its bricks weighing around 2-1/2 tons! Did you know that originally, the pyramids of Giza were covered in limestone and capped with pyramidions made of gold and copper? So, they had a smooth, shiny white finish with a gold cap...can you imagine how breathtaking that must have been? Wow!
Over the years, the limestone was removed (by the Romans) to build other structures. When I think of the pyramids, temples, and other monumental statues in Egypt, all I can wonder is "How on earth?" While I have yet to see them in person, I feel this obsession with tapping into how the pyramids were built, and all of the other mysteries surrounding Ancient Egypt. It seems like everywhere I go, I attract all things Egyptian to me, especially books. I must have more than a hundred so far that have made their way into my life, mostly through used bookstores. Most places I go, especially the used bookstores, the staff always lets me know that they've just gotten some new Egyptian books in and enthusiastically share them with me.
Ancient Egypt is also the focus of many of my paintings. I've painted the pyramids, King Tut, and other Wonders of the World, maybe because I am so awestruck by these amazing creations. Perhaps it is my destiny to discover and unravel the mysteries of Ancient Egypt, since that is one of my greatest passions in life. Maybe one of my purposes in life is to spend some time studying Egyptian Hieroglyphics, learning all about the Ancient Egyptian culture, traveling to Egyptian museums around the world, unveiling the mysteries, and sharing that consciousness with this planet so that we can evolve to that level of creation in our own lives. I do believe that the Ancient Egyptians were very spiritually evolved on many levels, and that they did create their lives on an entirely different level of consciousness than we can even understand or comprehend today.
That is one of my greatest dreams...what is one of your most sacred dreams, that perhaps you've never shared with anyone before?
